چکیده

EED: Erythema elevatum diutinum LCV: Leukocytoclastic vasculitis INTRODUCTION Erythema elevatum diutinum (EED) is a rare, chronic form of leukocytoclastic vasculitis (LCV) that belongs to the group of neutrophilic dermatoses including Behçet disease, Sweet syndrome, and pyoderma gangrenosum. The exact pathogenesis of the condition is poorly understood, but it is thought to result from immune complex deposition in small vessels, possibly triggered by an unknown antigen. Importantly, EED is often associated with underlying conditions such IgA gammopathy, and HIV; thus, it is crucial that patients be appropriately screened for these conditions.

CONTEXT Erythema elevatum diutinum is a chronic and rare dermatosis that is considered to be a variant of leukocytoclastic vasculitis. It is probably mediated by immune complexes. It is generally associated with autoimmune, neoplastic and infectious processes. Recently, it has been added to the group of specific dermatoses that are associated with HIV. CASE REPORT We report on the case of a p...
